Hotel Costa Rica - Equis II on the Golfo Dulce
Equis II: Feet in the Pacific, head under the palms.
Equis II, with its villa and two guesthouses, is also situated in the middle of the green paradise, on the Pacific Coast at Golfo Dulce, one of the cleanest gulfs in the world. Although the residence, surrounded by coconut palms, is right on the beach, it is barely visible from the outside.
The Equis II, located in the pristine southern Costa Rica, can only be reached by boat or water plane. From San José, you travel by air to Golfito or Puerto Jimenez (45 minutes, 10 times daily), and from there with your own speedboat. After a ten minute trip, you have reached your destination.
Here is the site plan of the Equis.
So, just as Christopher Columbus discovered Costa Rica on his fourth great journey almost 500 years ago, you can also discover the richest, in terms of animals and vegetation, country in the world.
Air and boat trips are an appetiser for your stay at Hotel Costa Rica Equis II. During the boat trip, you will almost always be greeted by breaching dolphins, and with a little luck the majestic whales may even reveal themselves.
The Equis II stretches over 75 hectares of lowland rainforest, and borders directly onto the Piedras Blancas National Park. Two kilometres of beach offer our ten guests a perfect stage for sporting activities - or romantic beach barbeques.
